Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding | Emily and Paul
“what are TB Couples Saying”
Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding
Hi there,
A Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding in Boston is simply a dream come true! Emily and Paul wanted a place that was truly timeless, regal, and elegant. A place where you could walk in and say, “WOW! This is like nothing I have ever seen before.” They found that at Fairmont Copley Plaza. Combined with a ceremony at Holy Family Parish, this wedding day was picture perfect.
All in the Details
Emily did not want anything in their wedding photos to give away what year/era we were in. Sometimes, people choose to do such "trendy" things when it comes to their wedding and Emily really just wanted something that was soft and timeless. As soon as she put on her dress, she knew it was the one. Emily was obsessed with the mock neck and lace detail, but wanted a bit more drama on the bottom half. She paired the dress with an overskirt which gave it the dramatic look she yearned for. Emily was simply stunning!
Ladies Getting Ready
Emily intentionally chose to get ready in the house that she grew up in and lived in with her parents until the day that she was married. That house is filled with memories and love built over many, many years. Emily told me the walls in the house are littered with pictures of all of the women and generations of her family who love her and are no longer with her---and they all surrounded her as she got ready on her wedding day watching over her. Emily could not even begin to imagine being anywhere else on her wedding day. In American culture, its really easy to get swept up into what every other bride does ----rent a hotel room somewhere and get ready in a place that you have zero connection to. For Emily, tradition and family trumps everything else in her life so getting ready in her home was most important to her.
Gentlemen Getting Ready
Holy Family Parish Ceremony
Emily and Paul had the most beautiful wedding ceremony at Holy Family Parish in Boston. The entire day Emily waited with anticipation to see her future husband standing at the top of the altar. As soon as they swung the doors open and Emily saw Paul, she knew that was going to be her favorite moment of the day. She watched Paul take her in step by step as she walked down the aisle and felt nothing but peace and love!
Newlywed Portraits Post Square Office
After the ceremony, we captured gorgeous portraits of Emily and Paul in Post Square Office. The wedding party was filled with love, laughter and joy cheering on these newlyweds. The bridesmaids dresses were "cashmere"...a soft take on a champagne color with blush pinks and creams as the accent colors. The men were dapper in black tuxes.

Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel Wedding Reception
Emily shared that when she first walked into the entrance of the hotel lobby of the Fairmont Copley Plaza for a tour and saw the immaculate floors and beautiful chandeliers, she immediately fell in love. The grand ballroom blew her away. The way the room felt, she could picture in her head women in big ball gowns having a party in the 1700s, and yet she could also picture her future daughter wanting to get married here in 2051. A place that truly stands the test of time.
The room reveal was a special moment for Emily. When her planner, Hermela, had us close our eyes and led us into the ballroom for the room reveal, Emily’s mouth DROPPED. Literally dropped and she immediately started crying. She had envisioned this day for so long and it kept seeming like it would never happen with COVID. When Emily opened her eyes and saw how beautiful the room looked, she was beside herself with emotion and so pleased. It was absolutely stunning!
The reception had other memorable moments: the newlyweds grand entrance, their first dance as husband and wife, Emily’s first dance with her Dad. Paul's fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma, is a brotherhood that is EXTREMELY important to Paul and will always be a big part of his life even after graduating college. The "stroll" that Paul did with his fraternity brothers during the reception was one for the books.
Emily and Paul,
Thank you for allowing me to capture every moment of this stunning wedding! It was been such a joy serving you. I wish you both many years of happiness ahead!
